We meet again...

I'm up again at this hour... Took a nap at wrong time, but I just couldn't stay awake any longer.

Yesterday was fun in the end, since we (honey and I) ended up on shopping again : P
Finally bought Howleen Wolf's (Monster High doll) Geek Shriek doll, too ♥ She's really cute and I love that orange/pink hair (♥▽♥)

Plus, found many colorful yarns at cheep prize! Sometimes they are better than candy 

It's the time of the year, I blame on that :D

And we did decorate our home into Xmas mood ;) Turned out really nice (⌒▽⌒) ☆

I'm eagerly waiting for mail! The package from EMP and a thick letter from my mom ♥ (◕‿◕)
Posted some self-made Xmas cards and one present yesterday as well :)

I REALLY should be crafting that doll house ready. I got so many ideas and a totally new one for a large family ~ The O'Connell's in three generations ^^. I'll add pictures here later.

But now, off to surf in the web :D

Not really.

Just happened to get up scared of my honey's phone ringing, just to realize it was just my mom. Silly, I know :D

Been up ever since the phone call and ordered some more presents for my darling to give on Xmas and on her coming birthday ♥ ( I hope she likes... (#◔◡◔#) ♥ )

So, can't tell what I ordered...
Only that I got myself two posters : P
There was only two left of the other, so I acted quick and got it! :)

Okay, the second scare of today... We got mail! Just now... *goes to check*

Xmas already???

No, but I sure did feel great, when I got to go for shopping with my darling (⌒▽⌒)♥

Bought myself presents, which I'm not going to wrap in a paper and store for 24th. I've bought presents for my darling earlier on November, wrapped, stored and hidden them already as well :D *feeling clever*

Found cheep and lovely things for crafting and sewing, and a very nice shop I'm going to visit again some day ♥

A good-looking male doll and Barbie doll ( an ice skater!! ♥ ) which I'm going to pair up ;)
Now there's a family, since I already had a daughter for the couple :)
And a kind mother-in-law ( Yes, there can be one ;) ).

A tattoo-coloring book, I liked the designs and since I have tats myself, then why not :D

A new mouse for my laptop. Got it cheep and it should be a good one since it's Microsoft's and my old one is the same. I'll store that for later use ^^

Then some snacks for late evenings :P

I also did a good deed today since I saved a little girl's phone from smashing under bus's tires. I saw the girl running with her mother (or grandmother ?? ) the crosswalk, while we (my honey and I) were walking through the same zebra at the same time. I tend to look down while walking so I noticed a black phonecase on the snow and picked it up quickly. Once I was on the other side of the road, I turned around and yelled after them, and the girl was already coming towards me to get the phone.

She thanked me and the mother smiled. I'm happy I happened to notice the phone on time and that the little girl got it back safely.

Maybe this was a small move, but I'm glad I did it. Made my heart warm as well :)

Now I'll be off to write stories and/ or craft again.

I'm so happy it's finally December and that we have snow ♥

Almost there...

It's almost 1st of December! It alone makes me happy ^^

I'm almost there with my crafting work as well, yay (⌒▽⌒)
Decided I'd make that three room house I mentioned earlier for my OC Monster High doll, Snake princess Themasabah, the daughter of Apep and Lagoonafire, as her roommate.

Here are pictures of Themasabah herself. Her name literally means Queen born in the morning.
The outfit is also done by me.

I like how she turned out ;)

But yes, I'm off to craft now! ;)

Simple things in life can make you happy. ♥

Happy first Advent.

I'm not that religious, but we (honey and me) just felt like lighting a candle. It warms to look at the flame :)

I've been just... enjoying a lazy Sunday. Took a warm shower, ate a delicious macaroni and cheese sauce my honey made ♥ and crocheted while watching TV with our tomcat as my silent or purring company.

We also put all four Christmas calenders on the kitchen wall. Yes, four :D 

Three chocolate (Minions, Transformers Robots In Disguise and Star Wars) and one paper (Donald Duck) calender. Can't wait to start opening them! :D Why four? Well, the three chocolate calenders were cheep and my darling reads Donald Duck so she got a paper calender :)

Soon I'll start to watch Police Academy 6 and continue my crocheting...

Nothing special, just a normal Sunday for me, but I'm happy and content with all this ♥

Hey.

Got home an hour or so ago...

Didn't do well with selling my works, since my total is zero. I got nothing sold.
My darling got, luckily.

Visited a friend and her parents since we were close by and they came to see us at the market where we were selling.

Yeah, many grannies looked at my works: "Oh, that's so nice..." and then moved along...
Most of the people just stared and walked past the table, most straight to the alcohol store or whatever it's called in English.

Seriously?

I've known for years now that artisans in Finland aren't that appreciated, but seriously?
The people here suffer from stress that comes from work, society and government. Some Finns have started to craft, crochet... color these so-called "adult coloring books" to brighten their grey days.

Still, artisans like me, aren't any better appreciated. We're just "nice" and easily pushed away from the sight or mind, though we, most of us, like myself, like to bring happiness and spark up the life.
Surely, I too want credit from my works, money too since I do this for a living.
But the thing is... Most Finns think of this as a hobby. "It's just a hobby..." and I'm pretty sure some think in their minds that: "I can do better than that. I won't pay for that." ...even though the product they're looking at isn't that expensive.

But... I don't want to force myself into a job I hate doing. Being an artist or artisan has been my dream job ever since childhood. I'm NOT giving that up!
I know myself well enough that I wouldn't do well as a nurse as an example...
I appreciate nurses, they have a tough job, both mentally and physically.
I wouldn't do well as a kindergarden worker. No. I don't like kids that much... I don't want kids of my own. It's a personal choice and I have a right to keep it that way. No kids for me.

A teacher? Nah... I'm bad at explaining things, though I know how to keep it short and simple.

No. I'm proud to be an artisan. A ceramic artisan is even more epic :D especially in Finland, since it's... not that common to be one here.
People here, at least them I've met, don't even know what an artisan is, nor that what ceramic means.
So, I'm rare on my field of profession. And damn proud of it!

But, now I'm done with ranting about this.
Time to relax after long day's work (finally) and cuddle up with my darlings ♥

Black Friday...

Hah. Luckily I don't have to buy anything at the moment.
I've slept long today, drank Play (cold cocoa) and ate Daim chocolate chip cookies. Yummy.

I've read the mail, e-mail, visited Facebook and talked about cat and dog breeds and breeding...

I don't encourage people to breed cats and dogs anymore they already have. I had one of those bred-too-much dogs, a Norwegian elkhound. I named her Heidi and she was my lovable friend and family member for 13 (or even 14) years. We (me and my family) tried to give her a happy life. I still miss her at times as she was diagnosed with womb cancer in my last high school year.

But what I hate, is picking a pet compared to its fur color. My darling and I have a black cat. We adopted him two years ago and he's our baby. And a very much loved baby, too.

He's currently lying on my side of the bed while my honey's reading a magazine.

But, I think I'll craft today, enjoy the warmth and love of my home and family of three ♥
